Angel Hornberg
CEO – Founder
I worked for 10 years as an investment banker in Frankfurt, Berlin and London, including for Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers. Since 1994 I have been an entrepreneur, investor and founder: First a London start-up in the 90s followed by AHC in 2002, and ongoing many times as a ‘Business Angel’.
Born and raised in Milan, I studied economics in Brazil, the USA and Germany. I have been a certified coach and career consultant since 2006. From ’06 to ’10 I taught the subject “Intercultural Communication” at the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt.
I am a board member of the Financial Experts Association e.V. for the Rhine-Main region, one of the leading supervisory boards associations in Germany.
I am socially committed to the promotion of women in business as a mentor of “MENTORING HESSEN” as well as founder of “First Row” with the German Association of Women Lawywers. I am also engaged to the topic of “integration” as a member of the advisory board of InteGREATer e.V. (2013 – 2020) as well as deputy chairwoman of MENTOR – Die Leselernhelfer Bundesverband e.V. (The German Reading Association) (2010-2013).
I sponsor with enthusiasm important cultural initiatives like the publishing Company weissbooks.w as shareholder and as Chairwoman of their Advisory board “New projects at weissbooks.w”. I have also been a supporting member of the Friends of the Hertie Foundation since 2013.
As a mountaineer, skier and water sports enthusiast, I have followed my passions from the summit of Mont Blanc to the sea depths of Papua New Guinea.
